Kwara will be too hot for criminals- new CP Egbetokun

The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has declared that criminals have no place in the State adding that he is committed to the protection of lives and property.

In his maiden press briefing in Ilorin on Sunday the CP said, “Criminals will not have a place in the State. Kwara will be too hot for them.

“They have two choices, either they change their ways of life or relocate to other States,” he declared.

The new CP appealed to the people to always support the Police Command, adding that he would need the support of the people to succeed in his assignment.

“For the Police to succeed, the support of the people is very important. The Command cannot succeed without the people’s support,” he added.

Egbetokun added that he was in Kwara to discharge his duty with vigour, honour and integrity noting that he was satisfied with the arrangement he met on ground as regard preparation of the Police for the coming elections.

He promised to provide level playing ground for all the political parties in the State. He added that he is committed to the rule of law and principle of fairness and justice.

CP Egbetokun however, advised journalists in the State against spreading falsehood and distorting fact. He said spreading falsehood and distorting fact is dangerous and not good for the country.
