Lagos Police insist Burna Boy is still wanted

The Lagos State Police Command has debunk claims by Damini Oguilu, a.k.a Burna Boy’s management, Spaceship Entertainment, that the musician has honored the invitation by Police in connection with his alleged involvement with 2kays attack.

The Command in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, said that only his (Burna boy) father, one Samuel Oguilu visited the investigating Police Officer in-charge of the case and promise to bring Burna Boy before the Police.

He said that Burna Boy is yet to report himself to the Police and that he is still on the run. He however, used the medium to urge Burna boy’s father and relatives to do the right thing by bringing the musician and turning him in to the Police before the long arm of the law catches up with him.

The Command assures that justice will be done. Meanwhile, Spaceship Entertainment on Tuesday released a statement saying that Burna Boy was never declared wanted by the Nigerian Police because he has already honored the invitation served on him on Monday, November 20th, adding that he (Burna Boy) was not involved in the robbery and beating up of Grafton Records’ Artiste, Mr. 2Kay on October 22nd, 2017.

Crime Fighters had reported that the State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, on Monday declared the pop artist Burna Boy wanted in connection with the robbery and assault case on singer, Mr, 2kay which occurred on October 22nd, at Eko Hotel and Suites after performing at a concert organized by Buckwyld.

Three suspects arrested by the Police Command allegedly confessed during interrogation with the Police that they were mobilized by Burna Boy’s road manager, Joel Kantiock with the sum of N50, 000 to rob Mr. 2kay, just to teach him a lesson.
