Five suspected kidnappers have been arrested by the Police High Command for allegedly kidnapping one Hadiza Husseini a nine year-old at Anguwa Bala village in Karu of Kaduna State.
The suspects were arrested in the act after demanding a ransom of five hundred thousand naira, from the victim’s family.
According to the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Jimoh Moshood, who paraded the suspects, the victim was rescued without payment of any ransom, adding that the suspects have all confessed to the crime and the roles they played.
The suspects arrested include, Bello Musa, 27, Musa Sani, 33, Ibrahim Rere, 70, Hudu Yahaya, 35, and Isah Aliyu, 50.
Exhibits recovered according to the FPRO, CSP Jimoh includes two locally made dane guns, one locally made pistol, one short dane gun and six live cartridges.
In another development, one John Torsoo, 36, was also paraded for allegedly possessing suspected fake documents of auctioned vehicles used to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
The suspect was arrested by operatives of the Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department, (FCIID).
CSP Jimoh who paraded the suspect said he obtained under false pretence some amount of money from four victims totaling the sum of four hundred and forty four thousand naira, (N444, 000).
He said fake documents which the suspect used to claim the auctioned vehicles and the sum of seventy five thousand Naira (N75,000) proceed of crime were recovered him.
The Force spokesperson said all suspects would be charged to court on completion of investigation, while urging members of the public to continue to partner with the Police and provide useful information.
