Succor came the way of a 13-year-old orphan identified as, Nkechi Oseh as the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, rescued her from the house, after she was locked indoors by her Madam, Betty Ifeoma, a staff of NNPC Lagos State office and allegedly travel out of the country.
The victim who was rescued by the Police at their residence at No. 30 Adeniran Ajao Estate Anthony, Lagos, said her boss locks her in whenever she travels to London, adding that she resorts to drinking water from the toilet whenever she’s thirsty.
Narrating her ordeal, Nkechi said she has been locked up at four different times since her uncle brough her from Igboju in Delta State. “I have been locked up for two weeks, one-week, three weeks when she travelled to London and since she traveled on Saturday I have been criying before God help me today”, she said.
The State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, vowed that he will get to the bottom of the matter, before adding that the victim has been transferred to the child protection unit of the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Lagos State, where she is currently been looked after.
