The Kaduna State Police Command have arrested a woman in connection with trafficking of over 21 children in the State and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
According to the Kaduna State Police Command Spokesperson, DSP Mukhtar Aliyu, a parent of one of the victims had reported to the Police in Kafanchan about their missing child and investigation was launch immediately where some persons were arrested.
He said investigations by Police revealed that the woman had relocated to Gwagwalada with the child adding that on getting there it was discovered that the woman had been arrested by the Federal operation officers in connection with another case.
Mukhtar said the Police has rescued 21 children seen at the premises of the alleged woman who claimed to be running an orphanage home, adding that the woman is being interrogated by the officers and when done will be transferred to the Kaduna Command.
The State Police spokesperson said that five of the children has since been reunited with their families while Police is still trying to get in touch with the families of the remaining children.
