The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has called on all eligible Nigerians yet to register as voters to do so without delay, announcing that the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise will officially end on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
The electoral commission made the appeal in a public notice shared on its official X handle on Saturday, urging prospective voters to take advantage of the remaining time to complete their registration ahead of the deadline.
INEC said eligible Nigerians can conveniently complete the registration process online through its dedicated CVR portal or visit any of its designated registration centres across the country for physical assistance.
“Your future won’t wait. Neither should you. The Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise ends Sunday, 26 July 2026,” the commission stated.
The commission advised applicants who require support with the registration process to visit any INEC state office, local government area office or approved registration centre to complete their enrolment.
INEC also announced that all registration centres nationwide would continue to operate daily, including weekends, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until the exercise concludes.
“You can complete your voter registration online from start to finish via cvr.inecnigeria.org. If you need assistance, visit any INEC State Office, LGA Office, or designated registration centre to complete your registration in person,” the commission added.
According to INEC, the Continuous Voter Registration exercise forms part of its preparations for the 2027 general elections, providing an opportunity for eligible Nigerians to register as new voters or update their existing voter information for inclusion in the national register of voters.
