Nomy, whose real name is Whitney Nneoma Chukwu, was expelled from the ‘Show Ya Sef’ house on Monday after disregarding instructions connected to her Benchwarmer punishment.
The 26-year-old had been assigned a specific seat and vest after finishing last in a Head of House challenge. She was expected to remain on the designated bench and wear the vest as part of the punishment.
However, Big Brother confronted her after she abandoned both items, questioning her decision to disregard the directive.
The latest violation came after several previous warnings over her conduct in the house.
Earlier, Nomy had been sanctioned for failing to observe the requirements of the
Benchwarmer punishment, including wearing the prescribed outfit, remaining on her assigned bench and completing designated chores.
On August 9, Big Brother issued her a strike and described it as her “last and final warning”, following continued disobedience.
Although some of the restrictions were later relaxed after she apologised, she continued to receive warnings over lateness, failure to follow instructions and non-participation in mandatory house activities.
Following her latest breach, Big Brother ordered Nomy to pack her belongings and leave the house within 30 minutes.
Her disqualification makes her the first contestant to be removed from the season on disciplinary grounds. She has also lost her opportunity to compete for the ₦160 million grand prize.
Nomy’s exit came a day after Gerard Adebija was evicted during the Sunday live show, reducing the number of contestants to 15.
The Anambra-born fashion designer and entrepreneur, who was raised in Lagos, is associated with the fashion label Ambition by Witme. She also has a background in sociology, having studied in Kumasi, Ghana.
During her time on the show, Nomy attracted considerable attention for her outspoken personality and repeated confrontations over house rules, generating mixed reactions among viewers.
Her disqualification brings her BBNaija journey to an abrupt end as the remaining housemates continue competing for the ₦160 million prize.
