The court confirmed the development on Tuesday in response to an inquiry about the case involving the entertainer.
According to the court’s Admin Team Lead, James Baker, the matter has been listed for plea and trial preparation on September 15, 2026.
Baker, however, said the exact time and courtroom for the proceedings would not be disclosed until the day before the hearing.
He said criminal proceedings at the court are open to members of the public.
The development follows claims by Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as Oluomo of Derby and founder of a Nigerian community in the United Kingdom, that Poco Lee is currently being held on remand in the UK.
Kuti said he was aware of the case through his regular attendance at court proceedings and his involvement in supporting Nigerians facing legal matters in the country.
He said Poco Lee’s next appearance would involve a plea hearing, where the accused would typically indicate whether he intends to plead guilty or not guilty.
Kuti also disclosed that he planned to attend the proceedings to offer support to members of the Nigerian community.
The court’s confirmation has now established that the case is formally listed, with Poco Lee expected to appear before the Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15 for plea and trial preparation.
