A 79-year-old woman, Olufunke Ilesanmi, has been reported missing in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, prompting her family to appeal for public assistance in finding her.
Ilesanmi was last seen at about 5:00 p.m. on Monday in the Abaya Medi area of Odo Poly Road, Ado-Ekiti.
Family members said she had left home to buy an item but failed to return. Attempts to locate her or determine where she went have so far yielded no result.
At the time she was last seen, the elderly woman was dressed in a cream-coloured round-neck top and a wrapper.
Worried about her safety, the family appealed to residents and anyone with useful information to immediately come forward.
The family also announced a cash reward for credible information that leads directly to her location and safe return.
Anyone who may have seen Ilesanmi or knows her whereabouts is advised to report to the nearest police station.

Efforts to obtain comments from the Ekiti State Police Command were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.
