The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two men, including a Polish national, following the discovery of a sophisticated indoor cannabis cultivation facility at a residential property in Apapa, Lagos.
The suspects, identified as 49-year-old Thomas Razvickas, a Polish national, and 36-year-old Nigerian, James Chisome, were arrested on November 2, 2026, at about 8:15 am after police operatives acted on intelligence.
The facility was reportedly equipped with advanced equipment used for cultivating, harvesting and processing substances suspected to be cannabis.
The Command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, noting that the two suspects lived at the property where the facility was uncovered.
According to her, the suspects are in police custody, where they have reportedly made confessional statements and are providing information to assist the ongoing investigation.
Following the discovery, the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, CP Tijani Fatai, visited the facility to assess the operation and receive updates from the investigating team.
Fatai commended the operatives for their intelligence-led operation and vigilance, reaffirming the Command’s commitment to tackling drug-related crimes and dismantling criminal networks across the state.
He also called on residents to support the police with credible and timely information that could aid the identification and arrest of criminal suspects.
The commissioner assured residents that the Command would sustain its efforts to combat criminal activities and strengthen security across Lagos State.
