President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has celebrated Vice President Kashim Shettima as he clocks 60, describing him as a dependable partner whose years of public service have been marked by commitment, sacrifice and patriotism.

In a birthday message issued on Tuesday, September 1, the President congratulated Shettima and extended his goodwill to the Vice President’s wife, Nana, his children, family members and political associates.

Tinubu commended Shettima’s contributions to Nigeria, recalling his career in banking and his service as Governor of Borno State before becoming Vice President.

He described Shettima as a courageous and diligent public servant who has remained committed to improving the welfare of Nigerians in every position he has occupied.

The President particularly praised the Vice President’s loyalty to the All Progressives Congress and his support for the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Tinubu also highlighted Shettima’s role as Chairman of the National Economic Council, saying he had provided effective leadership in coordinating economic policies and strengthening cooperation between the Federal Government and state governments.

According to the President, Shettima’s respect for democratic institutions, constitutional governance, consultation and dialogue has contributed to the administration’s efforts to promote good governance.

Tinubu further described the Vice President’s loyalty, experience and sense of responsibility as valuable to the administration, expressing appreciation for his continued partnership in implementing its program.

The President said he was confident that their continued collaboration would produce further progress towards building a better Nigeria.

He prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to guide, protect and strengthen Shettima, while granting him wisdom, good health and many more years of meaningful service to the country.
