Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has been admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), in recognition of his contributions to leadership, personnel development and administrative reforms in the Nigeria Police Force.
The induction took place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
The development was contained in a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu.
The President and Chairman of the Governing Council of CIPM, Mallam Ahmed Ladan Gobir, FCIPM, Fnli, who conferred the fellowship on the police chief, described Disu as a reform-oriented leader with demonstrated commitment to people management, institutional transformation and the welfare of police personnel.
In his acceptance remarks, the IGP thanked the institute for the recognition, stressing that effective personnel management is essential to modern policing.
Disu pledged to sustain efforts aimed at promoting merit, professional capacity, discipline and the welfare of police officers and personnel as key components of a professional and service-driven police force.
The CIPM Fellowship represents the institute’s highest membership category and is awarded to professionals recognised for notable contributions to human resource management and leadership.
